Bere à la Cluj - Craft Brewery

Bere à la Cluj is a craft brewery located in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, specializing in craft beer recipes.

Their story begins with various stars and constellations, which they use to name their beers.

For our collaboration with them, we designed two label templates featuring illustrations in bold colors that reflect the name of the chosen constellation.

Andromeda (Session IPA) | 2021

Label design and Illustration

A fresh and light beer with fruity notes, perfect for sunny summer days. The illustration depicts a contemporary take on Andromeda, Cassiopeia’s daughter from Greek mythology, as she works her magic with the ingredients used in this beer. For inspiration, I drew on the warm colors of summer, combined with accents of fruit floating around her, and a touch of dark blue, reminiscent of the dark sky that tells her story every night.

Altair (Hefeweizen) | 2021

Label design and Illustration

This beer was inspired by the brightest star in the constellation Aquila, namely Altair. The story also has its roots in Greek mythology: Altair is the eagle that carried Zeus’s thunderbolts, a detail that is easily discernible in the bird’s eye.

The illustration depicts a striking image of an eagle, a blend of clean lines and geometric shapes that make it stand out against the dark sky.
